Initial consultation

  • On arrival, our receptionist will ask you to complete a questionnaire so that details of your past medical history, medications and any allergies can be recorded.
  • During the consultation, Dr Gilles Laur will ask you about your symptoms and record your relevant medical history. A thorough examination of  your legs will be undertaken.
  • An ultrasound will be performed to get a picture of the condition of your veins. This scan will help to determine if you require treatment and the appropriate treatment options.
  • An individualised treatment plan will be written including the number and types of treatment sessions you will require. 
  • You will also be provided with an accurate breakdown of costs, which is valid for 12 months.
  • Supportive material will also be handed to you to take home.
  • A letter will be sent to your GP.

Treatment

Dr Gilles Laur will be part of your journey every step of the way, which will become increasingly easier as you progress through the treatment plan. We make sure we’re available to answer any questions you may have.

Aftercare

  • You will be required to wear compression stockings following every treatment.
  • You will also be required to walk for 30 minutes twice a day.
  • Dr Gilles Laur will  follow up on any questions you might have.
  • You will have direct access to Dr. Gilles via phone should any concerns arise before your scheduled review. And, he will direct the next steps as needed.

Review

At the end of the treatment plan, you will be personally reviewed by Dr Gilles Laur to ensure that all questions have been answered and you are satisfied with the results.
