Some people with HSD, hEDS or suspected connective-tissue disorders develop symptoms that cannot be adequately explained by joint hypermobility alone.
Others have already undertaken appropriate physiotherapy or rehabilitation but remain limited by Persistent Pain, Burning, Pulling or Tethering.
The purpose of the assessment is not to assume that these symptoms are caused by EDS.
It is to determine whether the presentation appears more consistent with a joint, tendon, muscle, fascia, scar, peripheral nerve, vascular or other medical problem, and to decide what should happen next.
